Billy Ray Cyrus has announced that he is engaged to a woman he met on the set of Hannah Montana 12 years ago.
Only in April, Cyrus divorced his wife of 28 years Tish, after she filed for a divorce citing 'irreconcilable differences', as per People.
Now, Cyrus, 61, has announced that he is engaged to singer Firerose, 34, in a new interview.

Speaking to People, Firerose revealed that Cyrus proposed to her back in August but said there was no getting down on one knee from Cyrus, and she also picked out a ring at a later date.
She said: "Billy looked at me and said: ‘Do you, do you wanna marry me?’ And I was just like, ‘Of course I do. I love you'.
He said: 'I love you. I wanna make this official. I wanna be with you forever'."
The couple wouldn't have been together if it wasn't for Tex, Cyrus' German Shepard, according to the 61-year-old singer.

On the set of Hannah Montana, Cyrus recalls how standing by a couple of pine trees with his dog led him to his now-fiancée.
He said: "There’s a couple old pine trees on the lot that look like Tennessee.
"Tex and I would go out there in the middle of the day and he’d take care of his business and we’d stretch and I’d think how much I missed Tennessee. On that given day, Firerose came out of the front door. There was almost a moment of, I don’t know, recognition. I was like: ‘This girl’s a star'."

On that day, Firerose was auditioning for a role on the show, but she was unsuccessful.
Cyrus introduced Firerose to some of the people who worked on Hannah Montana later that day, and allowed her in with producers to watch rehearsals.
After that moment, the duo stayed in touch and grew a close bond.
The pair even started doing music together, including the 2021 hit 'New Day'.

In the interview, Firerose admitted their connection started to grow when Cyrus started to confide in her.
She said: "Billy confided in me a lot of what was going on in his life. I was just the best friend I could possibly be, supporting him."
Cyrus touched on his recent divorce and life during the pandemic as a challenging time.
