Since unofficially quitting Hollywood, Cameron Diaz has a very different beauty routine... or lack thereof.
The 49-year-old actress said goodbye to the silver screen eight years ago, after appearing as Miss Hannigan in the modern adaptation of Annie.
Opening up to Michelle Visage on her BBC Rule Breakers podcast, Cameron admitted she was embracing a new side of herself away from fame.

'The last eight years, girl – I’m like wild. I’m like a wild animal, like a beast!' she joked.
Previously, the actress found herself falling victim to 'all the societal objectification and exploitations that women are subjected to', particularly in Hollywood.
Constantly comparing herself to others, Cameron said it was 'hard not to look at yourself and judge yourself against other markers of beauty'.

Now, the Charlie’s Angels star has ditched the out-dated beauty standards in favour of being more comfortable in her own skin.
That even means forgetting to wash her face.
'I literally do nothing. I like never wash my face,' the A-lister revealed. 'Twice a month if I'm lucky, I'll be like, ‘Oh, I better put this on. One time works, right?’ Like is that all I have to do? I'm just not in that place right now like where I put any energy.'
The Holiday star recalled sitting in front of a mirror every day having make-up applied, describing the whole ordeal as 'toxic'.

'You just start to pick yourself apart,' Cameron explained. 'And you're like, ‘Why I am sitting here like being so mean to myself?’ My body's strong, my body's capable. Why am I going to talk down to it? Why am I going to be mean to it when it's like carried me this far?'
The mum-of-one is finally over those toxic beauty standards, as she simply 'doesn’t care' what she looks like nowadays.
'I don't care. Literally, the last thing I think about on a daily basis – like maybe not at all during the day – is what I look like,' she said.

Cameron previously opened up about taking a break from acting, as she revealed: 'I just really wanted to make my life manageable by me.'
She also felt there were parts of her life that had to be 'handed off to other people' and, after turning 40, she realised it was time for a change.
Cameron now enjoys a private life removed from the spotlight, with her husband, Benji Madden, who she married in 2015, and their one child.
