Fans of Selena Gomez are convinced that singer Charlie Puth just shaded her in a tweet that he posted and quickly deleted.
Just when you thought all the drama surrounding the former Disney Channel star was finally starting to die down, Charlie Puth threw one final bomb into the mix, getting fans riled up all over again.
The singer-songwriter took to Twitter on Saturday (25 March) to let his followers know that his hit song 'Attention' is 'about what you think it's about.'
While there have been different theories about the meaning behind Charlie's song, the top theory is that it's about his short-lived romance with Selena Gomez.

Charlie has hinted in previous interviews that the scathing song, among others, was about Gomez, but never directly confirmed it.
And in an interview with Billboard back in 2018, Puth spoke about his song with Selena, 'We Don't Talk Anymore'.
On the collaboration, he said: "It's about a particular moment in my life, when someone very close to me wanted the attention of somebody else.
"When I found that out and we ended it, I might have done some shady things too, and she might have asked me, 'How long has this been going on?'"

Do you see what he did there?
Trying to further hint at who his songs might be about, he continued: "I don't kiss and tell, but the only way a song like that can come across as real is if there's something else going on behind the scenes.
"And that's what was happening. Very short-lived, very small, but very impactful. And it really messed me up.

"I'm trying to put this the best way possible: It wasn't like I was the only person on her mind. And I think I knew that going in - what I was getting myself into."
At the time of the interview, Selena had just rekindled her romance with Justin Bieber, but they'd go on to call it quits for good just one month later.
So, was Charlie confirming our suspicions? Is his song 'Attention' about Selena?

Those who spotted the now-deleted tweet certainly think so - and they're not to happy with Charlie for bringing up old drama.
"Ugh not him still whining about Selena," commented one unimpressed viewer. "He's written multiple songs heavily hinted to be about her, meanwhile the reality seems to be that he simply got friend-zoned and couldn't deal with it."
A second wrote: "I always thought that song was about Selena. I thought it was common knowledge. It legit came out after they ended things."
And a third wondered: "Does he plan to move on ever? That song is eight years old."

Others are convinced that Charlie's song was never about Selena Gomez, but fellow Disney star Bella Thorne.
