Chelsea Handler admits threesome with masseuse led to breakup with NBC exec Ted Harbert
Chelsea Handler had previously said the couple broke up as they struggled to find a balance between home and work life.
Chelsea Handler has admitted that a threesome with a female masseuse led to her breakup with NBC exec Ted Harbert.
The American comedian dated Harbert between 2006 and 2010 - with difficulty in separating work from personal life given as a reason for the separation.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in 2012, Handler reflected on her time with the NBC exec and how they couldn't separate work from pleasure.
She said: "I would come home from work, and Ted would be like, 'Do you want to watch your show?' and I'd be like, 'No, I just came from my show. That's the last thing I'd want to do.

"That was the reason it didn't work out, ultimately. I think."
At the time, Harbert was serving as the CEO of Comcast Entertainment Group, while Handler was, of course, working on The Chelsea Handler Show.
But while that may have been the reason for the separation given at the time, it appears there was something else going on at the time.
In fact, Handler has spilled all - saying that a threesome certainly put a strain on the couple's relationship.
Speaking on Andy Cohen's SiriusXM, Handler revealed: "'I've slept with a woman, but I haven't dated a woman, no," before adding the threesome was with her then-boyfriend and their masseuse.
Looking back, the comedian said it was a 'fun' experience but she maybe took that 'fun' a little far.
"I was very turned on by this woman. I ended up hooking up with her several times without the guy that I was dating," Handler admitted.
"That's when I knew it was time to break up with the guy."
While she didn't reveal it to start with, Handler later said the man she was dating was in fact Harbert.
She continued: "I don't think I ever revealed that, but I mean, hopefully, he's listening now. His name is Ted Harbert."
Even though the threesome did bring an end to their relationship, Handler has said she would definitely take part in such a renaissance again.
"Yes, absolutely. Absolutely. I mean I don't want to get double teamed by a guy, but I like another girl in this situation," she said.
"You know she can do all the stuff I'm too lazy to do."
