Don Lemon has spoken out about his plans for the future after being let go by CNN after 17 years.
The 57-year-old television host was fired from CNN on Monday, 24 April after finishing his morning broadcast.
Leading up to his dismissal, there had been allegations of Lemon mistreating his female colleagues during his time at the network.

It took little time for Lemon to take to Twitter claiming he was 'stunned' and not given 'any indication' he would 'not be able to continue to do the work [he has] loved at the network', stating there were 'larger issues at play'.
Lemon has since opened up about what his next steps are.
Yesterday (Wednesday, 26 April) while on the red carpet at the Time 100 Gala in New York, Lemon told an Extra correspondent he has no plans to get job-hunting just yet.

He said: "I’m gonna spend my summer on the beach and on the boat, and with my family, and just chill out.
"And then I’ll see what happens next, but I’m fortunate enough to be in a position where I can do that."
According to The Things, Lemon made a whopping $4 million-a-year (£3.2 million) during his time at CNN and has an overall net worth of $12 million (£9.6 million), so it's hardly a surprise he doesn't feel the pressure to hop on LinkedIn anytime soon.

"I have time. I don’t have to rush to another job - even if I want another job," Lemon - who previously anchored NBC Chicago and worked as a correspondent for NBC News, the TODAY Show and NBC Nightly News - said.
However, Lemon's not planning on retiring anytime soon and is reportedly looking forward to launching the next stage of his career, wherever that may be.
CNN hit back at Lemon after he released his statement on Twitter, claiming the television anchor hadn't told the whole story.

CNN public relations team tweeted: "Don Lemon's statement about this morning's events is inaccurate.
"He was offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on Twitter."
While Lemon's departure from CNN isn't the end he may have hoped for after 17 years at the network, Lemon called himself 'strong, sturdy stock in Louisiana' and a 'survivor'.

He resolved: "I think life is short, and whatever life hands you, you have to bob and weave—and do it."
"I live my life with no regrets and whatever I did, I did, and I own [it]."
