Drake is definitely the BBL butt of a lot of jokes right now, and things are only getting worse after he shared his latest gambling bet.
If you follow Drake’s social media pages at all, you would know he regularly makes bets on sporting events.
Whether it be UFC, boxing, soccer, basketball - whatever, chances are the music superstar will put some money on it.

Unfortunately, this hasn’t always been a good thing due to the 'Drake Curse'.
The curse would essentially go down like this; if Drake says someone is going to win... they are going to lose. Pretty straight forward and funnily enough there is a long history of it panning out like this.
Amazingly, the curse seemed to be lifted in December 2022 when Drake backed Argentina to win the football world cup and they did.

But it seems the curse might be back with a vengeance after his latest soccer bet to have Canada beat Argentina in the Copa America tournament.
Drake is from Canada (something he never lets you forget in his music), so it makes sense him backing his home country.
But on social media people really couldn’t believe he put $300,000 on Canada to beat Argentina 2-1. Although the payout would have been a tasty $2.8 million, as the odds were 9.6, few had belief Canada would have taken down Messi’s Argentina and the final score ended up being 2-0 to Argentina.
“Why in the world would he bet for CANADA against ARGENTINA, babe this is the furthest you’ve come to that cup,” one user wrote.

“This has to be one of the most dumb bet I’ve ever seen. He should’ve just gave me the money smh,” another added.
“Rule 1: never bet against Messi. Rule 2: don't forget rule 1,” joked another.
“How can someone bet against Argentina when it comes to soccer!?,” a fourth commented.

As well as the shock from some Twitter users, others mocked Drake for his recent feud with fellow hip hop legend Kendrick Lamar and joked 2024 isn’t his year, arguing that he continues to take Ls.
And if this wasn’t enough, Argentina’s official account looked to pour salt on the wound and referenced Kendrick’s most popular diss track to Drake, ‘Not Like Us’, in their full-time post.
Better luck next time, Drake.
Might want to keep those wild bets off your socials to avoid the mockery.
