By now, Eminem fans are well acquainted with the rapper's eldest daughter Hailie, thanks to several mentions across his discography.
But people are probably less familiar with Slim Shady's adopted daughter, Alaina Marie Mathers.
Alaina, 29, has also had a few shoutouts across Eminem's lyrics, usually being referred to as 'Lainey', but has mostly kept out of the limelight.

Alaina, who born Amanda Marie Scott, was adopted by Eminem and his ex-wife Kim Scott in the mid-2000s, and has treated the rap God like a father ever since.
Born in 1993, Alaina was the child of Kim's twin sister Dawn, but legal guardianship was given to Eminem and Kim due to his sister-in-law's inability to look after her.
Eminem - real name Marshall Mathers - decided to take Alaina in to ensure she had a healthy childhood that wouldn't be impacted by her biological parents, and raised her as their own alongside Hailie.

In 2016, Dawn Scott reportedly died due to a drug overdose aged 40.
Despite being brought up by one of the famous men in the music industry, Alaina has opted for a life out of the spotlight.
When she was 23, Alaina graduated from the University of Oakland with a degree in Public Relations, which super-fans can get a glimpse of, among other life milestones, in Alaina's public Instagram.

In one post that saw her throwing her graduation cap into the air, she wrote: "Can't believe on Saturday I (finally) graduate. None of this would have been possible without the help and love of my parents. Thankful is an understatement."
In December 2021, Alaina got engaged to her partner Matt Moeller after dating for seven years.
Alaina, who dedicates her Instagram to body positivity and mental health advocacy, regularly pays tribute to her late biological mum.

She also shares snaps from her luxurious travels around the world with her fiancé Matt, as well as the odd photo with her sister Hailie, and isn't afraid to open up about her unusual family dynamic.
In one post to her Instagram story, Alaina revealed what it was like to grow up with two sets of parents.
She wrote at the time: "I didn't start calling my aunt and uncle mum and dad until I was older but having a meshed family is what's always been normal to me.
"Side note; just because you birth a child or provide the sperm for a child doesn't make you a parent.

"Some people think Mom and Dad titles should be earned. I always called my bio Mom and Dad, Mom and Dad but I respect if your 'parents' weren't there if you don't call them that. Boundaries is key."
All in all, it looks like Alaina is more than happy with the life she's living out of the spotlight.
In a 2004 interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Em opened up about taking in his niece as his own, explaining: "I have full custody of my niece and joint custody of Hailie.
"I was always there for Hailie, and my niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born. Me and Kim pretty much had her, she'd live with us wherever we were at."
