Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have made clear there's no end in sight for their love-hate relationship, after the Wolverine star recently received an unexpected gift from his 'friend'.
The two actors have long flaunted and fuelled their mock-hate for one another, whether it be in Jackman tricking Reynolds into wearing a hideous Christmas jumper or Reynolds cheerily crashing Jackman's reunion with the original X-Men team.
Though it would no doubt be more simple to just have a regular, loving friendship, the feigned frustration each feels for the other proves endlessly entertaining for fans, and no doubt brings the actors a bit of evil joy, too.
Take Reynolds' most recent display of 'affection', for example. Normally, gifting someone a framed image of yourself would probably come across as a bit vain, but I can only imagine the Deadpool actor's delight as he imagined Jackman discovering the present in his dressing room yesterday, February 11.

Jackman shared the news of the discovery on Twitter, explaining that he had been lucky to receive a number of lovely gifts to celebrate his appearance in a Broadway production of The Music Man, opposite Sutton Foster.
He wrote, 'I have the most amazing friends. Gorgeous flowers, champagne and heartfelt well wishes. I am blessed.'
Jackman then went on to indicate that Reynolds did not fall into this category of 'amazing friends' as he shared images of the two black and white sketches he had been gifted by the actor.

One of the framed portraits showed Reynolds staring moodily out of the frame with his arms crossed, while the other showed him joyfully kicking his legs together. In a note attached to his gift, Reynolds wrote, 'Hugh, good luck with your little show. I’ll be watching.'
Referring to Reynolds' gift, Jackman added in his tweet, 'And then, there’s him.'
The Red Notice actor doesn't appear to have responded to Jackman's lack of appreciation at the time of writing, but he did acknowledge the receipt of his gift by retweeting Jackman's post.
Though The Greatest Showman star might not have been overly delighted to realise that he now has two framed portraits of Reynolds to find a home for, the gift was praised by Twitter users as 'hilarious'.

One person responded, 'This friendship gives me so much joy omg'.
I'm sure Jackman will get his own back on Reynolds eventually — we'll just have to wait and see what he comes up with.
