Golfer Paige Spiranac responds to people claiming she's not good for the sport

Paige has hit back at critics

Golfer and influencer Paige Spiranac is hitting back at her online critics who think she's bad for the sport.

Paige, 29, is a former pro golfer turned instructor, who is also pretty well known for her racy social media content.

Despite her golfing background, trolls regularly give Paige a hard time because of her suggestive video tutorials.

Finally sick of all the backlash, Paige took to Twitter to clear the air once and for all.

“'You’re not growing the game'," she began, quoting her haters.

"In 24 hours on social media, almost 4 million people watched a video on how to grip a golf club lol I like my odds that there’s people out there who learned something new.

"Growing the game one t*t…I mean tip at a time."

Paige's fans rallied behind her in the replies.

Twitter

"I'm fairly new to golf (2nd season) and came across a flop shot video you did. It helped me. I'd say that's growing the game," one commented.

"Amazing video, great information. Don't listen to anybody else just keep putting out great content," replied another.

"Haters always going to hate Paige! Keep doing what you do... you bring fans to golf and fans want to see and listen to your content!!" added a third.

Amid those words of praise and support were an ungodly number of jokes about 'strokes' and 'holes in one', but I'm going to swiftly skip right past them, if it's all the same to you.

Just one tweet earlier, Paige had shared a video of herself teaching 'golf' fanatics how to get the proper grip on a club while wearing a low-cut top.

She captioned the video: "And today people are outraged on IG about a video on how to get the proper grip."

While the tutorial did objectively have good tips, some were concerned that the video wasn't exactly made for... educational purposes.

Much like the earlier tweet, it was full of punny golf jokes - this time, though, it was dudes discussing how well they were 'working on their grip' and struggling to 'focus' on their game.

The jokes opportunities are endless here, and Paige's fans really have thought of all of them.

Paige pretty regularly hits back at viewers who don't 'get' her content, though.

"It’s okay to have fun on social media. You don’t have to be angry, outraged, or offended all the time. Just relax lol it’s not that serious."

Whether you love her or hate her, Paige is making a decent living for herself with her golf 'tutorials', with 3.7 million Instagram followers, 1.6 million followers on TikTok, and an ambassador role for Points Bet USA.
