Johnny Depp joked with fans about having a severed finger as he signed autographs and greeted people after playing another show with guitarist Jeff Beck.
The Edward Scissorhands actor has made numerous guest appearances amid Beck's ongoing UK tour, having first surprised fans in Sheffield last week while he awaited the verdict of his trial with Amber Heard.
After the jury confirmed he had been defamed by his ex-wife, Depp took to the stage yet again at a show in Gateshead, where fans gathered outside the venue to try and catch a glimpse of the star when he left.

Footage shows Depp engaging with the crowd and even joking about having lost the tip of one of his fingers:
Filmed by an excited bystander, the video sees Depp leaning over to chat to a fan and saying: "You have five, I have four and seven eighths. Mad."
It's unclear what led to Depp making the comment, but it's evident he was referring to his severed finger as he waved his hand to show it to the fan.

The comment comes after Depp gave testimony in court about the incident that led to him losing the tip of his finger in March 2015.
It happened when he and Heard were staying in Australia during the filming of the fifth instalment of Pirates of the Caribbean, with Depp alleging his finger was cut when Heard threw a bottle at him while Heard claimed she was asleep when the injury occurred.
During the trial, the actor claimed Heard 'hurled' a bottle of vodka which smashed behind him, after which he got another bottle and poured himself a shot. Heard was said to have then thrown the second bottle, which Depp claimed 'made contact' and 'shattered everywhere'.

“I didn’t feel the pain at first at all,” he said. “I felt no pain whatsoever. I felt heat and I felt as if something were dripping down my hand. And then I looked down and realised that the tip of my finger had been severed, and I was looking directly at my bones sticking out.”
In her own testimony, Heard alleged the incident took place after Depp assaulted her with a vodka bottle. She claimed she took sleeping pills afterwards and woke to find her then-husband 'missing a finger'.
“He kind of held it up,” she said. “And I said, ‘What did you do? When?’ And I realised in my head that there had been many hours since this probably happened.”

The jury largely sided with Depp during the trial, awarding him $15 million in damages.
