Get Out director Jordan Peele quickly shut down a fan who claimed he's the best horror director of all time.
Honestly, we're not sure why you'd brush off such high praise, but for Jordan, it was a firm Nope.
The exchange came as Jordan gears up for what looks set to be another box office smash with his latest horror flick. You can watch the trailer below:
Look, if there's been a reigning king of horror the past few years, it's Jordan Peele.

He's a genius and nowhere was that more apparent than in his debut feature, 2017's Get Out.
The movie, which starred Daniel Kaluuya, won several awards, including an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
Jordan went on to make Us in 2019, which has firmly put us off the halls of mirrors you get at funfairs for life.
His latest film, Nope, is set for release on 12 August in the UK and tomorrow (22 July) in the US and has rave reviews, with his horror portfolio having scores on Rotten Tomatoes that mere mortals can only dream of.

So, with a track record like that, it's easy to see why fans are saying Jordan should just be declared the best horror director of all time.
One fan, Adam Ellis, took to Twitter to say: "I know this is a hot take but at what point do we declare Jordan Peele the best horror director of all time? Can you think of another horror director that had 3 great films, let alone 3 in a row? I can't."
Adam followed up by saying: "I'm open to discussion but if you're coming into my mentions to say Get Out and Us are anything less than modern classics you might as well just show yourself out because I'm not open to that (wrong) opinion."

And to be fair, the man's got a point, but not everyone agrees, including Jordan himself.
The director urged Adam: "Sir, please put the phone down I beg you."
Before following up with: "Sorry. I love your enthusiasm but, I will just not tolerate any John Carpenter slander!!!"
Carpenter is behind spine-chilling classics such as Halloween, The Thing and They Live, a pretty solid choice from Jordan we'd say.

By now you might be wondering about other horror greats left off Adam's list. One user asked about Alfred Hitchcock, to which the movie buff replied: "I thought about him but I consider most of his movies suspense (and he’s had a lot of a great ones!). I think his only great horror movie was Psycho."
So, there you have it, in Adam's opinion Jordan deserves the title, and he makes a compelling case - even if the director himself disagrees.
