Julia Fox has created a unique dress made from leaves she found in the park, saying we all need to learn how to be ‘crafty’.
The 32-year-old actor and model is known for her unusual approach to fashion, having famously arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscars party in a dress featuring a clawed hand choking her neck.
A couple of months later, she also rocked up to the supermarket in her underwear, defending her choice by saying on social media: "I just think if it's socially acceptable at the beach it should be the same everywhere lol."

Now, Fox has unveiled her ‘Fall 2022 dress’ on TikTok, sharing a video explaining how the leafy garment came about.
Showing a clip of her collecting leaves in the park, the Uncut Gems star said: “So I'm obsessed with leaves and I go to the park everyday, so I've been seeing the leaves change.
“And I just got really inspired.”

She decided to team up with her friend, artist Emma Fujiko – who she thanked in the caption for helping her bring the ‘vision’ to life.
Fox continued in her voiceover: “I called by BFF Emma, who is an artist and a resin master. We cleaned out the leaves and then she started mixing the resin together.
“And we were gonna freeze these leaves in time.”

The pair ‘quickly’ painted them with resin before they oxidised, before leaving them out to dry.
“The leaves are so pretty,” Fox said.
“Leaves are so important - like, they just rake them up and blow them away but it’s really tree food and bug food.”

Fox and Fujiko worked together to create ‘boob cups’ out of the leaves, along with ‘cute’ earrings to match the outfit.
“I just used the hot glue gun to glue it all together,” Fox said.
“[…] And then to make the little hooks, we just bent the stems over to create a loop and then glued it down.
“Then we used chains and hooks to hook them all together through the loop of the stem.”

Fox explained how she wanted the dress to serve more as 'body jewellery' rather than clothing - which is fortunate, as she didn't collect that many leaves, meaning it didn't exactly provide all that much coverage... Not ideal for a chilly autumnal stroll in New York, let's face it.
Showing off the finished product, she said: "I don’t know if it’s really wearable because my booby was all out in it, but I’m obsessed with it. And it was really a labour of love."
Fox added: “Anything can be clothes, ladies!
“And now that we are in dark times, we all need to learn how to be crafty.”
