Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Khloe Kardashian was described as a 'beautiful African American woman' as show hosts compared her past and present photographs.
Kardashian gained fame through appearances alongside her family in the reality TV show as well as through modelling, though her look has changed dramatically in the years since the show began in 2007.
Fans of the 37-year-old socialite will know that she currently has blonde hair and tanned skin, and while she frequently receives compliments for her look, it marks a stark change from the dark hair and more pale skin she used to have.
The changes in Kardashian's appearance were highlighted on The Wendy Williams Show recently, where hosts Kym Whitley and Finesse Mitchell displayed a picture of her past and present self and described it as a '10 year challenge'.

Addressing the audience, Mitchell said: 'look at Khloe... look at that beautiful African American woman right there. Talk about a ten-year challenge, do we have an old picture of Khloe?'
Two images displayed on the show could easily pass for different people, with the more recent image showing off Kardashian's plump lips and thick eyebrows as well as changes to hair and skin tone.

Mitchell commented: 'Now look at that!.. look at the one on the left, it's [retired American singer] Linda Ronstadt, and the one on the right is Rihanna. That's the best ten-year challenge.'
The comments prompted laughter from the audience as well as comments from social media users, with one writing: 'I love how finesse Mitchell called Khloe Kardashian an African American woman. Lol.'
Mitchell's remarks were far from the first to accuse Kardashian of 'blackfishing', with some of the reality star's Instagram posts previously having prompted critical comments from followers.

In June, Kardashian shared an image promoting a grey tracksuit which had launched as part of her Good American collection, to which one person responded 'This is a sad, desperate and offensive attempt to be Black.'
Just four months later, Kardashian came under fire for her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where one viewer commented: 'Tanning is also a form of blackfishing. She is literally changing her skin color to look brown.'

Furthermore, Kardashian is not the only member of her family to face accusations of blackfishing as journalist Wanna Thompson has previously noted that members of the family have been 'called out for cultural appropriation for a decade plus now.'
Kardashian does not appear to have responded to the comments made about her on The Wendy Williams Show at the time of writing, January 21.
