Benedict Cumberbatch has confirmed he will be housing a Ukrainian family after they made it out of the war-torn country alive, proving he’s a real-life superhero on and off the screen.
The Doctor Strange actor, who was wearing the colours of Ukraine's flag while on his latest press tour, revealed to Sky News that he and his wife, Sophie Hunter, are expecting the refugees will arrive in their home any day.
He said. "They've made it out of Ukraine, I'm monitoring their progress every day.

"Sadly, they are undergoing some medical treatment - to say anything more about that would be invasion of their privacy and too much about when they're coming and how that's being managed would invade mine - but I want to give them some stability after the turmoil that they've experienced, and that's within my home."
The British star also disclosed he’s grateful to be working alongside the government scheme to rehouse refugees; however, more needed to be done to help asylum seekers deal with mental health.
"I'm working through a wonderful charity called Refugees at Home, which is a great gateway to the government scheme, but also to offering further wider support that's needed for the psychological trauma that these people are suffering from," he said.

"However gentle and generous and welcoming we are as hosts, we don't have the skills of the mental health professions to necessarily deal with those things.”
He added: "I would urge people to seek out further help to bolster their efforts, and people are doing an amazing amount - it makes me very proud, very, very proud of our country and very proud of what we can be at our best as a human race."
The Guardian reports that more than 5.2 million Ukrainians have fled the country, while 7.7 million people have left their homes but still remain in the country.

Due to the millions of displaced refugees worldwide, many organisations have called for further relief to support Ukrainians escaping the war.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has even brought together 142 organisations, including UN foundations and the Red Cross, to revise the ‘Regional Refugee Response Plan’, according to NPR.
Earlier this week, UNHCR spokesperson Shabia Mantoo said in a press conference in Geneva they are seeking US $1.85 billion for the plan to provide essential resources to Ukrainians.
Mantoo said: "[We are] launching an updated Regional Refugee Response Plan for the Ukraine situation yesterday, UNHCR and partners are seeking US $1.85 billion to support a projected 8.3 million refugees in neighbouring countries, namely Hungary, the Republic of Moldova, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, as well as other countries in the region, including Belarus, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic.”
