Logan Paul has been praised by WWE fans after his quick-thinking prevented a serious injury for his opponent in his championship wrestling match.
Paul went head-to-head against wrestling icon Rey Mysterio at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia on Saturday (4 November).
A clip of a moment during the bout saw the YouTube star improvise a move to seemingly prevent a serious neck injury to Mysterio.

In the footage, Mysterio attempts a moonsault off the ring ropes but appears to do so too far away from Paul, meaning he would likely crash headfirst onto the mat.
Seemingly noticing Mysterio is short, Paul manages to catch him and reverse the move into a Powerslam.
The commentators excitedly notice the reversal, making it seem as if it was all part of the show.

Some social media users have been more skeptical and suggested Paul acted instinctively to stop the injury and continue the bout.
“After this no one can talk s*** about Logan Paul. I’m not the hugest fan of the dude. But you gotta respect the work. He just saved a hall of famers life there,” one X user wrote.
“Logan Paul, the unexpected wrestling savior, stepped in to rescue Rey’s neck, and the WWE arena erupted in bemusement. It’s like a sitcom where Logan plays the heroic goofball, and fans can’t help but giggle,” another joked.

“Dude, I don’t like him but that moment he earned my respect. I can’t believe he had the awareness to do that.” a third user wrote.
Other users questioned whether it was actually Paul at fault however, suggesting Mysterio’s moonsault would not have been short if Paul was in the correct position.
One X user wrote: "I think Logan screwed that up though. He was supposed to be there and he wasn’t, so he of course had to save him lol."

A second added: "Logan botched it. Wasn’t in time for the jump. That’s the problem with people that don’t know the sport."
A third commented: "I think Logan might’ve actually been a little further back than he was supposed to be. Impressive ring-work either way."
All in all it was a lucky save.
