During her speech on Friday (December 1) Culkin stood right beside her as she insisted his sense of humor and charismatic nature ensured that he was able to maintain stardom for over 40 years in Hollywood.
“Home Alone was, is and always will be a global sensation, the reason it is that, the reason families all over the world can’t let a year go by without watching and loving Home Alone together, is because of Macaulay Culkin,” she said.
“Yes, he had an excellent script and a wonderful director but it is McCaulay’s perfect performance as Kevin McCallister that gave us that little everyboy on an extraordinary adventure.

“I know you worked really hard, but you made acting look like the most natural thing in the world to do.
“It really was as if we ambushed the home of this real little boy named Kevin to make a movie and he just went along with it for the fun of it.”
Throughout her speech, O’Hara had to pause to stop the tears from flowing.
She finished by saying: “Macaulay, congratulations. You so deserve your star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

“Thank you for including me, your fake mom who left you home alone not once in twice to share in this happy occasion. I'm so proud of you, God bless you.”
As the pair hugged as she exited the podium, Culkin repeatedly wiped away his own tears.
Culkin is the 2,765th person to receive a star since the completion of the Walk of Fame in 1961 with the initial 1,558 stars.

“I want to thank Brenda, you are absolutely everything,” he said.
“You are my champion, you’re the only person happier for me today than I am.
“You’re not only the best woman I’ve ever known, you’re the best person I’ve ever known.

"You’ve given me just all my purpose, you’ve given me family and after the birth of our two boys, you’ve become one of my three favorite people.
"You are somewhere in there.”
Unable to shy away to his own nod to Home Alone, Culkin finished his speech by saying: “To wrap things up, and in the spirit of the holiday season I just wanted to say Merry Christmas you filthy animals.”
