A bizarre incident at a comedy show saw the stand-up escorted off stage before the entire audience was asked to leave the venue.
Mark Normand has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, along with co-hosting podcasts Tuesdays with Stories and We Might Be Drunk.
The funnyman was performing a set at the New York Comedy Club on Wednesday (January 25) - but things didn’t exactly go to plan.

It’s still not clear what exactly happened, but see if you can make sense of it in the footage below:
So, this is what we think went down.
A mystery man can be seen getting on to stage with Normand, which appears to confuse the hell out of him.

Seeming to be referring to the man who’d joined him, Normand said: “We got a migrant here? Oh jeez, everything alright? Just want to make sure everybody is good here.”
Normand appears to look desperately towards security, who then escort the guy off - who goes with them without any resistance.
Now, you’d think that would be the end of it, but soon after Normand would also find himself rushed off the stage.

Normand, who did look a bit like a rabbit caught in the headlights, apologized for ‘going Mitch McConnell', a reference to the Senate minority leader who clammed up twice in front of cameras when quizzed by journalists.
But Normand wasn’t given an opportunity to get back into the swing of things, as men who appeared to be security guards confiscated his mic and led him off stage.
The video then shows the audience looking confused and a little bit panicked.
A woman gets onto stage saying: “Everything’s fine, we just had a momentary interruption.”

She seems a bit startled herself, and is quickly joined by a man who identifies himself as a producer on the show.
He tells the audience: “We just need everyone to get out. Nice and slow, everything’s fine.”
The weirdest thing is that even now, nobody seems to know what happened.

New York Comedy Club wrote on its Instagram story after the incident: “Still trying to figure out what happened tonight. If you saw this, let us know!”
Normand, meanwhile, wrote on his Insta story: “Some s**t went down tonight. My team is still trying to put together the details. Sorry to the fans.”
UNILAD has contacted New York Comedy Club for a comment.
A representative for Normand declined to comment further.
