Matt Damon is a critically acclaimed American actor, filmmaker, screenwriter and activist.
He was born on 8 October 1970 in Cambridge, Massachusetts where he and his brother were raised by their mother, following their parents’ divorce.
In 1997, Damon rose to fame when he starred in Good Will Hunting, a film he and Ben Affleck wrote together. It won them an Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Screenplay.
