Melissa McCarthy has finally broken her silence after a massive debate was sparked by Barbra Streisand.
Barbra Streisand has been at the mercy of social media users after making what she believes to be an innocent comment towards McCarthy.
McCarthy shared an image of herself in a green dress, jacket and boot combo arm-in-arm with director friend Adam Shankman on her Instagram page.
The caption read: "Pastels only to honor the incredible @matthewbourne13 at the @ctgla gala last night with this fella @adamshankman !! Thiiiiis much closer to my dream of dancing on stage."

All sounds good and many fans praised McCarthy for the outfit and her sweet smile.
In a now deleted comment on April 30, Streisand wrote: "Give him my regards did you take Ozempic?"
Ozempic is intended to be used as an as an injection to manage blood glucose levels in people with type two diabetes, however, some people have used it as a weight loss drug, which continues to be a divisive topic - with both Rebel Wilson and Sharon Osbourne opening up about their experiences using Ozempic.

The singer received a bit of backlash surrounding her comment and has since posted a response on her X page, insisting it was not meant to be taken as an insult.
“OMG. I went on Instagram to see the photos we’d posted of the beautiful flowers I'd received for my birthday,” Streisand said yesterday (April 30).
“Below them was a photo of my friend Melissa McCarthy who I sang with on my Encore album. She looked fantastic. I just wanted to pay her a compliment. I forgot the world is reading,”
And McCarthy has since made it clear that there is in fact no big deal and released a video on her Instagram page on April 30 praising the singer.

While reading a Barbra Magazine, Issue 42 Celebrating An Icon, McCarthy heaped on the praise and said she was ‘winning’.
She said: “The takeaway, Barbra Streisand knows I exist and reached out to me, she thought I looked good, I win the day.”
She even captioned the short clip: "Barbrastreisand fan club members only!!!" while also tagging the star.

And in a clip from TMZ, she was also asked about the singer's comment, to which she replied: "I think Barbra is a treasure and I love her."
She also appeared to wave away the paparazzi's suggestion that Barbra's comment was 'out of line'.
So fans can rest easy knowing there's no bad blood.
