Some old footage of Miley Cyrus explaining to Joaquin Phoenix who Lady Gaga is has resurfaced online, and it's safe to say viewers are baffled.
While it might be tricky to imagine a time when not everyone knew who Lady Gaga was, the footage shared on TikTok was taken 12 years ago and reveals Phoenix getting totally confused over who Gaga is.
You can watch the moment below:
In the clip, Cyrus asks Phoenix if he knows 'who Lady Gaga is'. And while he thinks he does - listing off some incorrect credentials - Cyrus immediately corrects him by bursting into her own rendition of 'Bad Romance' which was released in 2009.

Meanwhile, Gaga's debut single, 'Just Dance', was released the year before in 2008.
And fans can't believe that Phoenix had no idea who Gaga was - nor that he didn't recognise the iconic track 'Bad Romance' - back in 2010. One person wrote: "How do you not know bad romance you'd literally have to avoid 2009."
While another said: "How Joaquin doesn't know that song... they used to play in every radio channels."
And a third added: "I would love to know which artist he was thinking about and why he thought gaga was releasing titles like Everybody Goes Up and Two Lashes at a Time."

The unearthed footage comes after Phoenix and Gaga have recently been cast together in Joker 2 - also known as Joker: Folie à Deux - set to air in 2024. While Phoenix plays the Joker himself, Gaga stars as Harley Quinn.
The movie, which will be released five years after the first, is also set to have musical elements.
Previously, Margot Robbie has played the role of Harley three times - in 2016 movie Suicide Squad, 2020's Birds of Prey and 2021 film, The Suicide Squad.
The original Joker movie was a huge success back in 2019, grossing over $1 billion (£865,875,000) worldwide and becoming the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. It also bagged 11 Academy Award nominations, with Phoenix winning the Oscar for Best Actor and the Original Music Score Oscar going to Hildur Guðnadóttir.
