The YouTuber - real name Jimmy Donaldson - is known for his grand acts of kindness and the majority of his videos document these moments.

However, the 25-year-old has recently received criticism after he posted his latest video: ‘1,000 Deaf People Hear For The First Time'.
The six-minute video was shared to his YouTube channel on Saturday, 6 May, and saw the Kansas native handing out hearing aids and briefcases full of money to 1,000 people with hearing impairments.
During the video, MrBeast reads out various names of the individuals he is ‘helping to hear’ and claims that he has prompted 'entire families to hear their loved ones again'.

The internet sensation himself says that the video took him 'almost 4,000 hours of editing'.
He said via Twitter: "Almost 4,000 hours (just under six months) of editing has gone into my next video.. brand new style, can’t wait for all of you to see it Saturday.
"We also spent months setting it up, weeks filming, and millions of dollars on it. I went all out tbh."
But despite the hype and racking up almost 20 million views in 20 hours, he’s received a tumultuous outpouring of criticism from the deaf community.

One viewer wrote via Twitter: “I don’t think ya’ll realise how problematic MrBeast’s new video really is… Acting like being deaf is something that needs to be ‘fixed’ is such a toxic mindset that only an able-bodied male such as himself would have. Disgusting.”
Another tweeted: “One specific thing that was just the cherry on top for me, was the on/off switch animation that they edited onto the video when testing out the hearing devices for the first time.
“[It] further perpetuates harmful stereotypes and ideas that deafness is all or nothing — ‘on or off’”
However, a lot of MrBeast fans have rushed to his defence and have said that they enjoyed the video and believe he is ‘inspiring others’ to ‘help society as a whole’.

One viewer sarcastically tweeted: “Wow how dare you make money from helping blind people see and then use that money to help deaf people hear. Ridiculous, you should just hoard all your money like everyone else.”
Another fan wrote: “1000 people!!! That’s a small town! Good stuff. Keep up the good work. Proud of you man! I’m going to watch after dinner since sometimes your philanthropy cuts on my waterworks. Especially this type.
A third said: “These types of videos are amazing! Doing such awesome charitable acts or other good works that help society as a whole is so inspirational!”
