50 Cent brutally responds to son after he offered $6,700 to spend one day with him

50 Cent brutally responds to son after he offered $6,700 to spend one day with him

Absent parents eh?

50 Cent's son took to Instagram in a desperate bid to spend time with him, but the rapper was having none of it.

Many absent fathers are all the same, and it turns out 50 Cent - real name Curtis James Jackson III - is no different, even when offered $6,700 to spend time with his eldest son.

Warning: Contains graphic violence

Granted, it's not like the 49-year-old 'In da Club' rapper needs the extra cash - he is worth a reported $60 million after all, as per Celebrity Net Worth.

However, in a desperate bid to spend some quality time with his dad, Marquise Jackson - whose mom is Shaniqua Tompkins - took to Instagram in 2022 to offer his dad $6,700 to spend 24 hours of his time with him.

Laying the money - in the form of $100 bills, of course - out on the floor to spell 'Entitled', the image showed Jackson sat down on the floor looking up at the camera sadly.

In Jackson's debut single 'Different', released in 2017, the now-28-year-old rapped about his relationship (or lack thereof) with 50 Cent, the lyrics reading: "Lost my pops. He’s still alive."

The post came after an Instagram Live where Jackson seemed to accuse his dad of not paying enough child support to his mom for them to live comfortably - and that's where the very specific $6,700 comes in.

He said: "$6,700 a month in [...] New York City, you do the math. You're talking about a Forbes lister – you're talking about someone that has problems with everybody – you can't just live in any neighborhood, $81K is not a substantial amount of money. You can't just live anywhere."

50 Cent took to Instagram a day after Marquise's post, with a clip from crime drama television series, Power.

As well as being an executive producer on the show, 50 Cent played the role of Kanan Stark, and the video 50 Cent shared shows Kanan with his son, Shawn.

The scene sees Shawn saying how he wants to make Kanan proud of him. However, Kanan simply dismisses his son as having 'failed [him] again'.

It's not hard to see why many people took the video to be an indirect response to Jackson's post.

In the clip, Shawn ultimately realises that despite how he set out to not disappoint his father, the only person who ended up disappointed was himself - Kanan having just used his son to get to Ghost.

Kanan then shoots Shawn in cold blood as he's turning round to leave.

50 Cent has opened up on other occasions about his relationship to his eldest son.

In an Instagram Live in 2020, the rapper matter-of-factly stated: "I didn't think that success would cost me my first-born, but it's the situation it is.

"My grandfather used to say, 'If it rattles like a snake and slithers like a snake, is it a snake, or do you need to be bit?' What he keeps saying is, every time you see the boy he show up with somebody you got a problem with. What does that tell you?"

In another post shared by Jackson, he alleged that his father had blocked him on social media.

Sharing a series of snaps of the rapper and him together, he penned: "Now y’all all see I tried to reach out to talk to my pops as a MAN in front of the [world] & behind the scenes. I have no phone number for you & You’ve had me blocked on social media for years so I can’t DM you personally & everybody that is mutual is scared to touch the topic bc they’re scared of you."

Jackson continued to write in the lengthy post that he wasn't wanting money from 50 Cent, but simply that he wanted to 'sit down and talk' with the 48-year-old.
