50 Cent is being sued by the woman he allegedly struck with a microphone he threw into the crowd at one of his shows.
Last summer the rapper, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson, was on stage performing at the Cyrpto.com Arena when his set suffered some technical difficulties.
The downtown Los Angeles-based show took place on August 30, 2023 and saw the ‘In da Club’ hitmaker being forced to swap his microphone out several times.
However, after another dud, 50 Cent, 48, seemingly had enough and hurled the mic into the audience.

Unfortunately, the mic toss reportedly injured DJ Bryhana Monegain and she was rushed to hospital following the incident.
Pictures later surfaced of the Power 106 radio presenter with a severe laceration on her forehead and a police report was soon filed against the star.
The case was then presented as a felony to the LA County District Attorney, before being sent to the LA City Attorney's office.
At the time of the filing, a spokesperson from the office told the PA news agency: “At this time, no criminal charges have been filed against Mr Jackson.

“The case will remain open for the duration of one year from the date of the incident.
“It can be re-evaluated for possible criminal charges, should there be any further incidents between the parties or any additional reports made against Mr Jackson.
“If there are no further police contacts with Mr Jackson, this case will be closed after one year from the incident date.”

However, in new court documents, it’s alleged that Monegain is suing 50 Cent and claims that she has suffered ‘severe and permanent injuries’ following the accident.
The newly submitted filing, as reported by Page Six, claims that the woman is requesting repayment for past and future wage loss as well as hospital and medical expenses.
Monegain also allegedly wants to be reimbursed for general damages, attorneys’ fees and costs of the lawsuit so far.
At the time, footage from the incident was shared across social media and it sees the Power star launching the microphone into the crowd.

However, 50 Cent's attorney, Scott Leemon, has previously stated that his client did not purposefully strike the fan.
In a statement, released back in August, he said: "Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone.
"Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed."
