James Brolin has revealed he didn't have sex with wife Barbra Streisand for three years before they tied the knot in 1998.
Earlier this year, the couple celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. After originally being introduced by a friend, they quickly got into a relationship and the rest, as they say, is history.
While the couple have often not given too many personal details away surrounding their personal life, Brolin made a rather surprising admission in a recent interview promoting Streisand's new memoir.

In a joint interview on CBS Mornings, the 83-year-old admitted to host Gayle King that they decided to be celibate for three years before they got married.
"I had been — literally it's a wild word — but I had been celibate for three years, saying, 'Who needs this?'" Brolin admitted.
The couple seemingly didn't speak about what they would be revealing before the cameras rolled, as Streisand, sat right next to her husband, said: "You're not supposed to tell that," before playfully hitting her husband's knee.

Following the admission, King asked Brolin: "For three years?" to which he responded: "I had not had any interest in getting involved in a lousy situation."
"After three years, that must have been a hell of a night then?" Gayle jokingly quipped.
"Wild," James responded as he laughed with his wife.
Prior to marrying Streisand, Brolin was married to Jan Smithers for the best part of a decade, with their marriage coming to an end in 1995.

To mark his 25th wedding anniversary with Streisand earlier this year, Brolin lovingly wrote a letter to celebrate the big milestone.
Nothing was off the table for Brolin during this interview, as he shared the letter with CBS Mornings.
"Marrying you was just the best thing I've ever done," it read. "I asked you three times."

Evidently shocked by how many times Brolin had proposed, Gayle asked: "You asked her three times?"
"I did. She wasn't sure about this idea. Minimum three time," Brolin admitted.
Asked why it took three tries for Streisand to say yes, she said: "I don't know, I have to try them out first — for at least two years."
The interview concluded with Gayle continuing to read out Brolin's letter, which is sure to melt a few hearts.

"Home is not a place, home is a person. You know someone is right for you if you love to be with them all the time," it continued.
"And when I go, when I finally go, I will love you then."
