Billy Ray Cyrus, 62, marries Firerose, 34, who he met on the set of Hannah Montana

People are flooding to social media to congratulate Billy Ray Cyrus on getting married.

Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose - real name Johanna Rosie - first met on the set of hit Disney sitcom Hannah Montana, which saw Miley Cyrus - Billy's daughter - rise to fame.

The pair didn't start dating until they collaborated on a song in 2021 and they got engaged in August 2022.

The musicians have since tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee.

At first, people thought the pair must've first met when they collaborated on their 2021 song 'New Day'. But they later revealed they'd actually met a whole 10 years earlier.

During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Firerose explained they met on set and Cyrus immediately became 'a phenomenal supporter' of her music.

"He's just really believed in me and continued to tell me to pursue my dreams no matter what and not give up," she added.

Cyrus shared photographs of himself and his new wife from the special day on his Instagram page yesterday.

The caption reads: "0/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony. It was the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined.

"For both of us to hear the preacher say, 'Billy Ray and Firerose Cyrus… I now pronounce you husband and wife' that was the sacred moment our new forever began. Long Live Love!"

Fans of the musicians have flocked to the post to offer their well wishes to the couple.

One Instagram user said: "What a truly amazing day!! You both are so beautiful, thank you for letting be apart of your magic."

"Congratulations to you both! I am so happy for both of you, I knew you both were soulmates right from the beginning. Cutest couple ever and you both make such beautiful music together. You both have a forever love like Johnny and June. Love you both!" Another added.

A third commented: "HUGE congratulations to you beautiful pair!! Beyond happy for you guys - sending lots of love @firerose you look breathtaking."
