Trace Cyrus has alleged that his father has threatened legal action against him after his public plea for the country star to seek help.
Metro Station star Trace is one of Billy Ray Cyrus' six kids. Billy Ray is also father to Grammy Award-winning artist Miley Cyrus, Noah Cyrus, Braison Cyrus, Brandi Cyrus and Christopher Cyrus.
And the country music star, who is best known for his 1992 song 'Achy Breaky Heart', recently sparked concern after his chaotic performance at Donald Trump's inauguration.

35-year-old Trace wasted no time in making a public plea to his celebrity father after claiming the singer is 'not healthy'.
He penned on Instagram in a lengthly message: "Since my earliest memories all I can remember is being obsessed with you and thinking you were the coolest person ever. I wanted to be just like you.

"The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life. Sadly the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now.
"It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you. You may be upset with me for posting this but I really could care less at this point. Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away."
Trace went on to write that his plea 'comes from a place of love' as he told Billy Ray that he'd love to assist him in getting help.

But the social media post seems to have not gone down well with Billy Ray as Trace now says his dad has threatened legal action against him.
In a new post shared on Instagram yesterday (January 25), Trace penned: "Dad my message was beyond loving.
"I could have been extremely honest about a lot more but I don’t want to put your business out there like that. But for you to threaten me with legal action for wanting you to get help is a disgrace."

The scathing post went on: "Pappy is looking down at you with such disappointment I can assure you. You should be ashamed of yourself. I will always love you but I no longer respect you as a man. Everyone close to you is terrified to tell you how they really feel. I’m not. Get help."
The message was first posted to Trace's Instagram Story, with the 'Shake It' singer going on to share it to his grid as well.
He has turned comments off on the post.
