Director Paul Feig has responded to speculation that there is bad blood between Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively as they promote their new movie, Another Simple Favor.
Feig's response came after a YouTuber, Melanie King, began sharing insights from the SXSW film festival in Austin, Texas, including clips of Lively and Kendrick on the red carpet.
The two actors have reunited for Another Simple Favor, which comes after they starred together in the original 2018 movie, A Simple Favor.
As the two actors walked the carpet, members of the crowd can be seen asking each star what it means to be back working with the other - and Kendrick's response got people talking.

While Lively told the person behind the camera it was 'the best' to be reunited with Kendrick, the Pitch Perfect star had a less committal answer as she simply said: "Oh, you know."
This particular clip has been shared widely online, with King among those calling attention to Kendrick's three-word response.
In one tweet addressing the differences in their responses, King wrote: "This is so embarrassing for Blake Lively."
King later followed up by sharing a photo reportedly taken shortly before the exchanges on the red carpet, which showed Lively and Kendrick smiling among their co-stars and Feig.
The YouTuber shared the snap alongside allegations that Lively was 'terrified to walk the carpet as [Kendrick was] p**sed and never wants to work with her again'.

However, Another Simple Favor director Feig has attempted to shut down the allegations of issues between the two stars, as he responded to King's post simply to say: "Um … you’re wrong."
Feig also spoke at SXSW about working with Kendrick and Lively, saying it was a 'dream come true' to be able to collaborate with the two actors for a second time.
Speaking to PEOPLE, the director said: “It was too much fun. Too much fun. I mean, I had such a great experience on the first one. It always kind of stuck with me, like, ‘God, I love working with the two of them’ — as well as the rest of the cast.”

Though Feig has first-hand experience of working with Lively and Kendrick together, King claimed the director was 'fighting for his life' as he attempted to shut down the rumors surrounding them.
The promo for Another Simple Favor comes as Lively continues to fight a legal battle against her previous director and co-star, Justin Baldoni.
After the pair worked together on their 2024 movie It Ends With Us, Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and creating a 'hostile work environment' - allegations which Baldoni has denied.
UNILAD has reached out to representatives of Lively and Kendrick for comment.
