Brad Pitt is said to be 'aware' of his daughter's intentions to change her surname, according to reports.
Pitt shares six children with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, whom he was with 12 years - two of which they were married.
The Mr & Mrs Smith stars, who met on the set of the 2004 movie while Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston, have three biological children, Shiloh, 18, and 15-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

They are also parents to three adopted kids; Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Zahara, 19.
But in the wake of his divorce from Jolie, Pitt is reported to have become estranged from his children - so much so that Shiloh now wants to drop Pitt from her name.
Last month, it was reported that the 18-year-old had submitted a request for a legal name change and wants to go by Shiloh Jolie.

The request was submitted on Shiloh's 18th birthday (May 27), TMZ reported.
And according to reports, 60-year-old Pitt is reportedly 'aware' of Shiloh's submission.
"He’s aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name. He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter," a source told PEOPLE.

"The reminders that he’s lost his children, is of course not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad."
They added that the actor is 'still happy' with girlfriend Ines De Ramon, who Pitt was first linked to in late 2022.
De Ramon was married to Vampire Diaries actor Paul Wesley, but the pair separated in September 2022.
Wesley went on to file for divorce in February 2023.

Another source also told the publication that the Bullet Train star 'still loves all of his kids tremendously', adding: "This whole process has been very hard for the whole family."
UNILAD has contacted Pitt's representatives for comment.
As well as Shiloh, Pitt and Jolie's daughter Vivienne also seems to have dropped Pitt from her name.

The 15-year-old helped her mom produce the new musical, The Outsiders and, as per PEOPLE, the former couple's daughter was listed as Vivienne Jolie in the Playbill.
It's unclear if the teen has legally applied to change her name like Shiloh, however.
UNILAD contacted Pitt and Jolie's reps at the time of the reports.
Elsewhere, the Hollywood stars' eldest daughter Zahara introduced herself as 'Zahara Marley Jolie' in a video shared by Essence last November.
It's unclear if any of Pitt and Jolie's other children have the intention of dropping their father's name as well.
