Hollywood star Cameron Diaz has issued a statement after recently being named in the unsealed Jeffery Epstein court documents.
Last week, a list of Epstein's associates was made public and social media has been put into a frenzy.
While many have vilified the famous individuals mentioned on the list, others have used it as an opportunity to muddy the waters.
They have done this by insisting that certain celebrities’ names were on the list or that they were closely tied to the deceased convicted pedophile Epstein.

The documents formed part of a 2015 defamation lawsuit brought against Ghislaine Maxwell, a known associate of convicted sex offender Epstein, by one of his accusers, Virginia Giuffre.
At the time, the names were kept secret under a court-ordered seal - with the names 'John Doe' or 'Jane Doe' used to refer to those involved.
Maxwell is now serving a 20-year prison sentence for the crimes she'd committed with Epstein, who died in 2019, and New York Judge Loretta Preska ruled that the names could be made public.

More than 150 names have now been released, including the likes of Bill Clinton, Donald Trump and Prince Andrew.
The court documents also feature a bunch of famous faces from the world of Hollywood, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Bruce Willis, Kevin Spacey and Cate Blanchett.
Cameron Diaz is also included on the list as part of 'name dropping' by the late Epstein. However, it did not imply any wrongdoing or illegal behavior by the Bad Teacher actor.
Now, Diaz's team has issued a statement following rumors of apparent links to Epstein.

Her representatives told E! on Friday (5 January): "Cameron never met Jeffrey Epstein, nor was she ever in the same place as him or had any association with him whatsoever regardless of the fact he may or may not have mentioned her name or implied that he knew her."
This comes after The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg shut down rumors that she was on Epstein’s list.
At the beginning of her show on Thursday (January 4), Goldberg condemned the rumors she was on the list or had any connection to Epstein.

“Let me bring that up, the conspiracy theory folks,” Goldberg said. “I have to explain, because there was a fake list and I’m on it."
“I don’t know, they said I was on the island, and I’m like, ‘I don’t go anywhere!’ I don’t know what I’ve done to anybody,” she added.
“But apparently there are a lot of these kind of sites that are satire sites, but people don’t realize that they can be harmful.”
