A-list celebrities have been put on the Bugatti blacklist, meaning they will never be able to buy from the luxury car brand.
Having enough money to own and maintain a car is difficult enough, so if you can afford the car of your dreams, the last thing you want to hear is that you're not allowed to.
But this is the case for a number of star names who have been told that they cannot buy a car from Bugatti, after a number of PR disasters, distasteful modifications, and a whole lot more.

Bugatti stands as one of the most sought-after luxury cars in the entire world, and not just anyone can own one.
There’s a long waiting list even for celebs, and the brand isn’t keen on people selling second hand cars, making the waiting list effectively irrelevant.
One celebrity who got put on the blacklist for doing this is boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.

He faces bans from Bugatti and Ferrari, after reportedly selling a coveted spot on the waiting list.
Another star who cannot purchase the luxury vehicles is Simon Cowell.
While the exact reason for this remains unknown, speculation would say that this often happens if a celebrity has done something the brand doesn’t approve of, which tarnishes their image, or, like Mayweather, they sold a place on the waiting list.
And this isn’t the only exclusive car brand that has this policy in place.

Justin Bieber has been banned from buying Ferraris, after the company branded modifications he made to his 458 Italia ‘tasteless’.
Flo Rida is banned from Bugatti for a totally different reason.
In 2011, after purchasing the Bugatti Veyron, he was pulled over by the police and charged with drink driving after failing a breathalyser test.
Bugatti saw this as incredibly bad PR, and added his name to their seemingly lengthy blacklist.

One of the most notorious bans was concerning movie megastar Tom Cruise, after a debacle on the red carpet of Mission Impossible III.
The actor arrived at the red carpet with his ex-wife Katie Holmes in his Bugatti Veyron, but when he walked around to open his lady’s door, it took several attempts.
Despite fans online speculating that the door was in fact locked from the inside and wasn’t a fault on the car itself, Bugatti couldn’t forgive Cruise for the blunder, and subsequently blacklisted him from their waiting list.

These celebs might actually be better off being blacklisted, however, as Bugatti owners not only need to spend $21,000 on yearly maintenance, but also must change their tires every 10,000 miles driven.
While a new Bugatti won’t be joining Cruise’s garage anytime soon, he has made sure to keep it full with other luxury cars, such as BMWs, Chevrolets, Mustangs, and his infamous Bugatti Veyron, over the years.
