Dax Shepard has opened up about his and Kristen Bell's relationships amidst rumors swirling about them being swingers.
With the Buddy Games star having come under fire for speaking about his kids' future sex lives, he's since focused on speaking about his own, including debunking some rumors circulating online.
Now, if you haven't ever come across an upside down pineapple sign on the door of a room onboard a cruise, prepare for a lesson.

For those of you who don't know, a swinger is someone who engages in group sex or swaps sexual partners.
And for some reason, tabloids decided to run the news that Shepard and Bell were 'Hollywood swingers' and 'hosted swing parties'.
However, while Shepard notes how 'exciting' this story seemed at the time, he's since confirmed whether or not it's actually true.

Yesterday (September 9), the Armchair Expert podcast host sat down with Drew Barrymore for the premiere of season five of her show. Barrymore complimented Shepard and Bell's relationship, saying she thinks the pair have 'amazing couple goals'.
"As someone who looks at your willingness to share your life and love, it seems very real, but I'm sure there's a whole life you have that no one is privy too of course," Barrymore said.
And sure enough, Shepard went on to address the rumors surrounding he and Bell's private life, admitting the speculation led to even his and Bell's friends texting them asking: "How could you not have invited me to the swinger party?"
He noted they were joking because knew the couple and knew they were 'not hosting swinger parties'.

Shepard says he and Bell found the whole situation 'very funny'.
"I just thought that was great to receive a text from Kimmel saying, ‘My feelings are quite hurt that Molly [McNearney, his wife] and I weren’t invited to this swingers party.'"
While not denying there's 'a lot of hot couples out there,' Shepard confirmed he nor Bell have 'crossed that divide with anyone'.

However, he added: "You know who we are most in love with? We’re in love with Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen. Oh my God, they are so dreamy as a couple. You just kind of want to be in their marriage."
Ultimately, the actor resolved: "It’s not so much that Kristen even wants to bring me along or I want to bring her along - you just want to be in their marriage."
So, that's that then and here ends the lesson on not to trust everything that you read in the news.
