Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence's kids have updated fans on their 'next chapter' and people can't help but point out one thing.
Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence co-starred in 1992's Boomerang and 1999's Life and have remained friends ever since. However, they're about to be tied to one another even more so after Murphy's son, Eric, and Lawrence's daughter, Jasmin, announced their engagement.
In a joint post shared to Instagram, Murphy and Lawrence revealed a video of their engagement, revealing a room filled with candles and musicians standing to one side too.

Murphy then got down on one knee in front of a large heart frame on the wall, Lawrence laughing and commenting on how 'beautiful' the ring is.
The caption reads: "We’re engaged!! God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter. Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so beautiful!!"
And it's not taken long for people to weigh in on social media, quick to congratulate the happy couple but also point out one thing in particular.

"Imagine having some of the funniest grandfathers ever!" A second commented.
Another added: "Funniest kid on the planet incoming…"
Despite both of their dads starring alongside one another and being friends, it wasn't actually through their fathers the pair were first introduced to one another.

In an interview with InTouch Weekly, Lawrence revealed it was actually her uncle who introduced her to Murphy, not their dads.
"They've done two movies together, they're friends, I don't even know, it's crazy," she continued.
"But we met through my uncle and we became really good friends. We bonded on a lot of things. Obviously we have similar backgrounds so we understood each other on a certain level and over time it just became more."
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Lawrence joked he'd 'try to get Eddie to pay' for their kids' wedding. Murphy quickly responded it would be Lawrence and he should 'try to switch it up', before noting the wedding 'better be wonderful'.
So, fans are probably right about just how hilarious all the family reunions are going to be.
