Ellen DeGeneres has reportedly ditched the US in favor of the UK.
DeGeneres and her actress wife Portia de Rossi - best known for starring in Arrested Development and Better Off Ted - have long lived in Montecito, California, but are now said to have ditched the west coast's warmer climate for England.
Specifically, the celebrity couple have moved to the Cotswolds - joining the likes of David and Victoria Beckham, Hugh Grant, and Kate Moss.
As to why DeGeneres and de Rossi (who have been married for 16 years) have moved over 5,000 miles away from California, it's said to come down to the recent election results.

Their Montecito mansion will reportedly go on the market soon in the wake of their move.
Apparently, DeGeneres and de Rossi will 'never' return to the States, an anonymous source told The Wrap.
While some sources have suggested that the move was a result of Trump's win, TMZ said that de Rossi and DeGeneres had already purchased their Cotswolds home before the election.

However, they wanted to 'get the hell out' of America after Trump's victory.
As you can probably imagine, DeGeneres did not vote for president-elect Donald Trump.
Endorsing Kamala Harris over the summer, the former chat show host said on Instagram: "There's nothing more powerful than a woman whose time has come!! I can't wait for @KamalaHarris to be our next president."
UNILAD have approached DeGeneres' reps for comment on the reports of her recent move.

DeGeneres and de Rossi aren't the only ones to have ditched the US. Desperate Housewives favorite Eva Longoria has moved out as well.
She described the country as 'dystopian'.
While it was suggested that she also fled the country because of Trump, she affirmed that she's been living in Europe for three years.

Addresing the speculation, Longoria recently said onThe View: Behind the Table podcast: "Will you please let them know I didn’t move out of the United States because of Trump?”
The actress added: "I’ve been in Europe for almost three years.”
Longoria went on to say that 'work told [her] to go there' - which correlates with her new Apple TV+ series Land of Women, which debuted on the streaming platform in July.
The show is filmed in Spain and is based on a woman who flees New York with her mother and daughter and relocates to the European country.
