Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl came under fire after revealing he cheated on his wife and had a secret baby and Slipknot's Corey Taylor has since addressed the controversy.
Grohl took to Instagram earlier this month to reveal he'd 'recently' become the father of a 'new baby daughter' who'd been 'born outside' of his marriage to Jordyn Blum - with who he shares three daughters, Violet, Harper and Ophelia.
The post continued: "I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.

"We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together."
The post sparked backlash from social media users - some taking the 'betrayal' as if it were some sort of devastating personal blow - however, fellow musician Corey Taylor has since spoken out in Grohl's defence.
During an episode of Your Mom's House podcast hosted by Tom Segura and Christina Pazsitzky, Taylor was asked for his thoughts on Grohl's revelation and acknowledged there 'are a lot of disappointed fans out there because of the image he's developed'.

However, while branding the situation 'very irresponsible' and 'messy,' Taylor continued: "But I have to remind people that we’re not perfect. He was one of the last people to really have that image [...] you can't really think of anyone else."
Taylor also argued just because Grohl cheated on his wife and fathered a baby outside his marriage, it 'does not mean he's not a nice person'.
"I happen to know him as a person. It means he’s got f**king issues and he f**ked up. He’s not perfect," he added.

The songwriter reflected it's 'going to be very difficult for [Grohl's] family' and he's 'not gonna make any assumptions about why or how it happened'.
Ultimately, the musician argued: "I’m sober, but at the same time, I’ve gone through my own s**t. Did he do something horrible? Yes. But if that’s the one thing that defines him, then what the f**k are we doing? It’s disappointing."
Taylor noted he believes Grohl put out a statement because if he 'didn't say something, somebody else was going to say something' and so the musician got ahead of the scandal.
Ultimately, Taylor thinks Grohl is 'one of the nicest people on the planet'.
