Gypsy Rose Blanchard told ex-husband she would be ‘happier somewhere else’ before shock split

Gypsy Rose Blanchard told ex-husband she would be ‘happier somewhere else’ before shock split

The latest trailer for Gypsy Rose Blanchard's Life After Lock Up has shared a deeper insight into her relationship with ex Ryan Anderson

The latest trailer for Gypsy Rose Blanchard's documentary sheds an insight into her relationship with ex-husband Ryan Anderson.

After serving eight years in prison for the part she'd played in the murder of her mother Dee Dee Blanchard - physically carried out by then-boyfriend Nicholas 'Nick' Godejohn - Gypsy Rose embarked on her new life.

However, just months after leaving jail, she made a shock announcement that she and husband Ryan Anderson - who she'd married while behind bars - were separating.

She told fans in a statement to social media: "People have been asking what is going on in my life. Unfortunately, my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents home down the bayou.

"I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now, I need time to let myself find… Who I am."

It later came to light that Gypsy Rose had filed a temporary restraining order against her ex-husband, with Ryan reportedly filing one too and the pair even had a bit of back-and-forth on social media over their dog Pixie.

And the latest trailer for her upcoming documentary Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up has since revealed a further insight into the pair's relationship.

In a new trailer for the show shared to YouTube by Lifetime earlier today (May 29), Gypsy Rose and Ryan can be seen sitting in a car together.

She questions her then-husband whether he's 'happy' and when he replies he's 'very happy', she says: "I just think I would be happier somewhere else."

Ryan responds: "Go call Ken. You're probably already talking to him anyway."

Gypsy Rose can then be seen beginning to cry.

Later in the trailer, Ryan can be seen claiming Ken is 'trying to weasel his way in now that Gypsy's out of prison' and he and Gypsy Rose appear to have an argument over a text she'd received, with Gypsy Rose saying she doesn't 'want to be controlled'.

The trailer then teases some events, which lead up to her ultimately asking for a divorce from Ryan and the clip then shows Gypsy Rose running into ex-boyfriend Ken Urker's arms.

Indeed, Gypsy Rose has since confirmed her reignited relationship with Ken, telling TMZ in April the pair reconnected 'earlier [that] month' after realizing their 'love for each other is simply undeniable' and that 'life is too short to not take a chance'.
