A woman was left stunned after spotting a familiar face in an unexpected place.
You may have heard of people seeing Jesus in a fish stick or the Virgin Mary appearing on a slice of toast, but Susan Dittmer saw someone else entirely.
Susan, from Cocoa in Florida, didn't see her own apparition in a foodstuff.

Instead, the 58-year-old wildlife rehabilitator was left doing a double take when she was sat on the sofa watching TV with her eight-year-old chihuahua Daisy.
Susan glanced down at the back of Daisy's head and noticed what appeared to be a face staring back at her.
Taking a closer look, she was left agog to be confronted by none other than a profile of TV host Jay Leno in her pooch's ear.

Fortunately, she was able to get a picture, where many others reported the same.
Recounting the strange incident, Susan said: "I was just sitting in the living room and watching TV and she was laid over my lap.
"I looked down, I took my phone and took a picture of her ear because it looked to me like a face, I thought it looked funny.
"I spotted the facial features, eyes, nose - all of it. It looked like Jay Leno's profile, that was consensus after sharing it online too."

She added: "It's an iconic person to have living in your dog's ear. I thought it was kind of neat.
"I showed it to my family, they thought it was funny."
Susan posted the image on Facebook, where it received some 9,500 likes, shares, and comments.

While many also saw the former host of The Tonight Show, others were sceptical, and Susan ended up asserting that this was not an AI-generated image.
Susan said: "It's fun to see people talking about Daisy. It's nice to see positive comments."

Susan added: "There were a couple of comments about AI and PhotoShop - I don't even know how to do that. It's testament to how much it looks like him but it's not AI work."
There's no need for any AI, as it turns out there is actually a name for this strange phenomenon.
It's called 'pareidolia', the strange inclination our brains have to pick out patterns where there are none, including seeing faces or eyes in unusual places.
Like when that perfectly innocent pile of laundry in your room suddenly looks like the face of a demon staring back at you when you turn the lights out.
