You might think that celebrities with status like Justin Bieber or Kim Kardashian could get their hands on anything they wanted, but when it comes to Ferraris, it seems that's not necessarily the case.
The fancy Italian cars are exactly the type of vehicle you might expect to see in the driveway if you ever managed to find yourself visiting Bieber or Kardashian's homes but, for one reason or another, both of them actually face restrictions from the carmaker.
Justin Bieber's history with Ferrari
The limitations on which car he can own is likely to be a particular sore spot for Bieber, who made clear he was a fan of Ferraris when he became the lucky owner of a Ferrari 458 Italia F1 Edition, which featured an engine that was designed with input from Ferrari's F1 team.

The car was originally white, but Bieber decided to really make it his own by taking it to West Coast Customs, where he got it wrapped in electric blue.
As per Carbuyer, the pop star also changed its wheels, as well as the steering wheel's prancing horse logo.
The car was then listed for auction, according to Barrett Jackson, which detailed the 'once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to purchase Justin Bieber's 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia F1 Edition custom-built by West Coast Customs'.
"Exterior wrapped in Frozen Blue chrome equipped with a wide-body kit by Liberty Walk includes full custom fender flares, front splitter, side skirt splitter and rear wing," the listing read.

It might sound pretty nice to a car fan, but Ferrari wasn't so impressed. We'll explain why in a moment...
Kim Kardashian's history with Ferrari
First, let's talk about Kardashian's experience as a Ferrari owner.

According to autoevolution, Kardashian was last seen driving a Ferrari in 2012 - but it wasn't one she'd bought herself.
It's been speculated that the reality TV star actually received the 458 Italia as a wedding gift in 2011 from a Malaysian businessman, who also happened to be a financial fraudster.
Kardashian has since lost her status as a Ferrari owner, and has more recently become a member of the Cybertruck club.
Why have Bieber and Kardashian allegedly been banned?
Well, first of all, let's get one thing straight - Ferrari itself has said it does not entirely 'veto' any customer. However, the car does have restrictions in place when it comes to buying certain models, as well as a reported list of rules that Ferrari owners must follow after purchasing one of the vehicles.

One of these rules is unauthorized modifications - which is exactly what Bieber did when he set about customizing his wheels.
Marca also reports that Ferrari prohibits customers from selling their cars within the first year - another rule that Bieber overlooked.
As for Kardashian; she's said to have failed to have taken care of her Ferrari in the way the carmaker expects from its customers.
As a result, both stars are said to be limited when it comes to buying cars from Ferrari, and will not be able to purchase exclusive models and special editions.

The company said: "Ferrari reserves the right to decide on special editions."
