Kim Kardashian has revealed what she thinks is the ‘sad part about motherhood’ on social media.
The SKIMS founder shares four children with her ex Kanye West, who now goes by the name 'Ye'; their two daughters being North West, 11, and Chicago, 6, as well as two sons, Saint, 8, and five-year-old Psalm.
Kardashian often shares a lot of her time with her kids on social media, whether that's showcasing their achievements, like North's performance of the Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl or showing off their hobbies and talents.

But she has also been open about how hard it can be to be a mother. In an episode of The Kardashians, she spoke about how tough she had found navigating life as a 'single parent'.
She said: "I think I'm still learning how to be a single parent and I just did the Jay Shetty podcast where I spoke about parenting and, I mean I should be used to it now, but everyone had a lot to say."
The reality star said that her struggles had 'nothing to do with the amount of help I have', adding: "It takes a village to raise kids, but at the end of the day, your kids only want you."

And recently, she shared a quote to seemingly sum up her feelings, and it’s relatable for many mothers in the world.
She shared to her Instagram Stories: “The sad part about motherhood is that you’re raising the one person you can’t live without… to be able to live without you.”
While she doesn't mention any specific reason for the post, it came two weeks after a report was released alleging that West was often 'not being around' their children, with a source claiming to PEOPLE that Kardashian is 'pretty much a single mom'.

They told the publication: "Kanye is sadly not around very much. She's pretty much a single mom.
"Although she has help, it's still a lot of work for her to balance and coordinate everything."
Kardashian and West married in 2014 after the pair began dating in 2012, then welcoming their eldest daughter in June, 2013.

Their son, Saint, eventually followed in 2015 before the former couple welcomed Chicago and Psalm to their family, who were born through a surrogate.
In 2021, Kardashian filed for divorce, with the proceedings being finalised in 2022.
According to the court documents, she and the rapper reached a settlement in their divorce proceedings and would share joint custody of their four children, as per The Guardian.
As per the settlement, Ye will also pay his ex-wife $200,000 a month in child support as well as pay for 50 percent of the kids’ educational and security expenses.

Following their divorce, Kardashian had a romance with comedian, Pete Davidson, before the pair split up, while West 'married' Bianca Censori.
