However, this appearance at the Toyota GR Cup was the first time that Reeves had competed in a fully professional race.
The Toyota GR Cup is a spec-racing series, which for those who are not big fans of motorsports means that all of the drivers are racing the same car.
This is different from say a Formula One race where each team will have a different car that they have built up themselves.
While there are some setup tweaks that teams can make in a spec-race, the cars themselves are still the same for every competitor.

This makes sense if you want to find out who is the best driver, rather than who has the biggest budget to build a fast car.
Reeves himself is known for be a big fan of motorsports, as you may have guessed from him driving in a pro race!
In 2021, Reeves presented a documentary series called Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story.

Speaking of driving very fast, Reeves will also be attending a screening of his iconic movie Speed alongside co-star Sandra Bullock.
The screening of the movie will mark the 30th anniversary since the movie first came out.
