Kevin Spacey has made headlines in recent times due to allegations of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior, but recently, he has become the topic of discussion for a very different reason.
While the 65-year-old was found not guilty of nine sexual offenses toward four men in 2023, his recent resurfacing in the film and TV world has not yet made up for his lost time, as the actor is reportedly 'broke' and could not afford to keep his Baltimore mansion.
However, the American Beauty star has seemingly refused to leave his home, despite it being foreclosed and auctioned away to an investor over the summer.

“Right now, he’s refusing to leave,” investor Sam Asgari told The Baltimore Banner. “He’s asking for six months to leave the property without paying anything.”
Asgari purchased the mansion for $3.24 million, a small price to pay for the 9000 square feet home that was last bought by Clear Toaster LLC on behalf of Spacey for $5.6 million in 2017.
The mansion, which is located on a pier in Baltimore, Maryland, was one of the most expensive properties in the area once upon a time, and Spacey had purchased it while at the height of his career, making a pretty penny while starring in Netflix’s House of Cards.

However, due to his firing from the show as a result of his various sexual assault allegations, the actor was unable to pay his monthly mortgage of $20,230, leading to the property’s foreclosure and subsequent purchase by Asgari.
Now, three weeks since Asgari bought the property, Spacey’s refusal to vacate the property has become increasingly worrisome for the investor.
However, the actor's camp does not corroborate the investor’s statements, with Spacey's attorney, Edward U. Lee III, stating firmly: “The accusation by Mr. Asgari is false.”

Spacey himself has also been open about the fact that he’s lost his home, appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored where he spoke about his rough predicament.
“Where I have been living in Baltimore, is being foreclosed on. My house is being sold at auction,” Spacey told Morgan.
“I'm not quite sure where I'm going to live now… I can't pay the bills that I owe.”

Spacey has recently attempted to make a slow but steady comeback into the public eye following his acquittal, already booking a role in Peter Five Eight, a movie that was released earlier this year.
Despite this, the actor’s financial struggles persist.
“I still owe a lot of legal bills that I have not been able to pay," Spacey said, adding that he is currently 'millions of dollars' in debt.
