Celibacy is a personal choice and one that should be treated with respect and understanding.
However, Lenny Kravitz's choice to abstain from sex has seemingly divided opinion.
The singer recently opened up about his sex life, or lack thereof, in an interview with The Guardian.

Kravitz's most famous relationship was with ex-wife Lisa Bonet, with whom he shares a daughter, Zöe Kravitz, which ended in 1993.
After a few more relationships, he decided to go cold turkey on sex in 2008.
At the time, Kravitz told Maxim: "[It's] just a promise I made until I get married. "Where I'm at in life, the women have got to come with something else, not just the body, but the mind and spirit."

Although he initially claimed his comments had been blown out of proportion, he clarified this further in a more recent interview.
Speaking to The Guardian, the 60-year-old admitted: "It’s a spiritual thing."
Kravitz claimed that he hadn't been in a serious relationship for nine years.
However, it seems this personal choice didn't go down well with 66-year-old rapper Ice-T, who made his feelings known.

On X, the Law and Order Special Victims Unit star wrote: "Hey..... if you're a guy and you can voluntarily go 9 years without sex... you're following the wrong page."
Although he didn't name Kravitz directly, many fans made the connection.
One fan hit back at him for judging Kravitz, writing: "Why judge him though? It's his choice. He's different to you...

"I don't think it's fair to assume something is wrong with him just because he's chosen to be celibate for a long period.
"I think there are many humans who can and do abstain for long periods for various reasons. Choice."
Ice-T didn't mince his words in his response, writing: "S**t's weird to me. I love to f**k. A lot."
Kravitz has previously opened up about his struggle with infidelity, believing it was a 'curse' passed onto him by his father.

He discovered that his dad, Sy Kravitz, had been unfaithful to his mother, actor Roxie Roker.
When confronted, his father told him that he would end up doing the same thing.
Kravitz admitted that his father was sadly correct.
Writing in his biography, Let Love Rule, Kravitz penned: "He became right. After the marriage, I became more like him. I was becoming a player.
"I didn’t like it. I didn’t want to be that guy. So I had to tackle that and it took years... by taking responsibility. Discipline. Not letting my own desires take over."
