Lizzo reveals real secret to her new look after being accused of using Ozempic during transformation

The singer insists that she hasn't taken medication to help her lose weight

Lizzo has refuted people's claims that she's used medications like Ozempic or Mounjaro to help her lose weight.

Over the last year, Lizzo has shocked fans with her body transformation and back in January, she revealed that she'd successfully lost 16 percent of her body fat

Taking to Instagram at the time, the 'Truth Hurts' singer said: "Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal. I haven’t seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!"

But Lizzo's health journey didn't stop there and it seems as if the music star has since lost more weight.

In recent days, the 36-year-old has shared a series of snaps to social media to showcase her hard work and promote her clothing brand Yitty.

While a handful of famous faces looking to shed a few pounds have turned to the likes of Ozempic and Mounjaro — Amy Schumer, for example — Lizzo insists that she hasn't used any GLP-1 drugs.

Speaking during an Instagram Live on Tuesday (April 22), the 'About Damn Time' hitmaker shared that she's cut off 'sugary stuff' from her diet and now goes for 'super savory' instead.

"If do something sweet, it’s gotta be with some sort of, like, carb. I’ll have, like, almond butter and toast," she continued. "So, everybody’s body is different. Find out what works for you."

Lizzo added that she believes the only thing that 'works across the board, science-wise, is calories in versus calories out'.

"That’s just how the human body works," she stated.

With this in mind, the musician says she counts her calories to ensure she's in a calorie deficit. Lizzo also credits stress management and working on her mental health for her weight loss.

"I’ve been working to get my anxiety under control for years," she shared. "And then I decided that I want to release and I’m ready to stop waiting to be myself, like, fully and be happy.

"And I meditated. I calmed myself down. And I isolated a little bit — but not, like, made myself lonely, not the way I used to when I was depressed. I isolated myself in a mindful way where I had no distractions."

Just yesterday (April 23), Lizzo showed off her slimmer physique in a bodysuit and was quickly showered with compliments by her 11.7 million Instagram followers.

"Looking good I wish I could get myself motivated," one person wrote.

A second said: "Listen Lizzo!!!! I need your upper body routine ASAP! Please and thank you because you are snapping with your wellness journey!"

"Omg just getting finer and finer by the day," gushed someone else.

Keep doing you, Lizzo.
