Ackerley, also aged 34, is an English film producer, actor, and former assistant director, and he co-founded the production company LuckyChap Entertainment along with his wife.
The pair first met back in 2013 while filming World War II drama Suite Française, Robbie of course was acting, while Ackerley was the assistant director.
According to Vogue, Robbie invited Ackerley, her childhood friend Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara, to the UK premiere of The Wolf of Wall Street in January 2014.

The four of them hit it off and she suggested they all move in together, and so they started renting a home in London and it was in 2014 that she and Ackerley started dating.
Speaking to The Guardian in 2018, she said: "We kept it a secret. Because we weren't really taking it seriously. 'Oh, whatever, we're just mates, we're just mates.' And then, everyone found out.
She added that 'shit hit the fan' when people found out because their friends were worried the relationship would 'ruin our group'.

Robbie continued: "Our house turned into 'The Jerry Springer Show' for a moment there. But then the dust settled, and it was all good. And then it didn't [ruin the group]. It was fine."
Two years down the line, in 2016, they tied the knot at a hushed ceremony in Bryon Bay, Australia, just four hours away from her home town Dalby.
So hushed that they never even announced their engagement.

Their company has produced iconic films such as I, Tonya, - the movie about Tonya Harding who in 1991 became the first American woman to complete a triple axel during a competition.
Three years later her ex-husband conspired to injure the competition, attacking Nancy Kerrigan, who was also an aspiring Olympian - it went down as one of the most infamous scandals in sports history.
They also worked on Barbie together and Birds of Prey - the 2020 action comedy that Robbie starred as Harley Quinn, the supervillain initially created for Batman.
All we can say is the best of luck to Robbie and Ackerley - congratulations!
