Wahlberg sold his 30,500-square-foot mega-mansion in Beverly Park in February last year for $55 million in 2022 - making it one of the priciest home sales in Southern California.

He then splashed $14.5 million on a luxurious Las Vegas villa located in the resort community ‘The Summit Club’ in Summerlin.

However, the villa was only 'a temporary place' for the Wahlbergs, who have since gone on to move again, with Today reporting the family sold the house for over $16 million.

The actor told the outlet: "When we decided to move [to Las Vegas], we wanted to move before school started, so we moved into a temporary place and we now moved into another place.

"The plan was always to build, not only a studio but a family home. We just moved from one house to another."

He says: "I miss California, I miss the weather, but the kids are thriving.

"You have Las Vegas, and people think automatically, 'Oh, the Strip.' But [in] Nevada, there are wonderful communities.

"I live in a wonderful community that's really faith-based, great schools. There's much more to Las Vegas than the Strip."

Although, aside from giving his kids a fresh start, the 51-year-old did also used the move to bring his famous burger restaurant chain Walhburgers to the Las Vegas Strip.

The restaurant can be found in Mandalay Bay at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place.

"Las Vegas is my new home base and I’m really invested in the community here,” Wahlberg told Forbes. "When we found an opportunity to open a second restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip, my brothers and I jumped on it.

"Mandalay Bay is a great hotel and it’s a perfect spot for our newest Wahlburgers."

According to Wahlberg, continuing to expand the business in Las Vegas was the next natural step.

He said: "People visit Las Vegas from all over the world and we love that Wahlburgers has been a memorable part of the Vegas experience for so many people."
