The Golden Globes this year was full of loved-up displays.
From Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, to Bill Hader and Ali Wong - it's safe to say that love was in the air this awards season.
And some questioned if there was a potential blossoming romance between Only Murders in the Building co-stars Meryl Streep and Martin Short after the pair were seen looking apparently close at the star-studded affair.
After seeing snaps of them online, people were quick to share their hopes that they're dating.

"My first tweet of the year is dedicated to the rumor that Meryl Streep and Martin Short may be an item," one Meryl-Martin stan penned online.
"If the rumor is true, I am not prepared for it.
"It’s as if the comedy and drama masks themselves were merging. I adore them both and wish them well in any predicament."
"Martin Short and Meryl Streep - be the power couple of 2024 we all need, if you aren’t already," said another.

A third went on: "If Martin Short and Meryl Streep are dating that's the biggest power couple going."
Some even went as far as claiming that Selena Gomez's gossip to Taylor Swift about two of her friends hooking up was about Streep and Short.
The rumors come after it was confirmed last year that Streep had been secretly separated from her husband Don Gummer for several years.

Meanwhile, Short has been single since the death of his wife Nancy Dolman in 2010 from ovarian cancer.
And while many people are on board with the idea of Streep and Short dating, a representative for The Santa Clause 3 star has broken hearts everywhere and said that the celebrity pair are 'just good friends'.
The actor's rep told E! News: "They are just very good friends, nothing more."

Another talking point from Sunday's Golden Globes also included host Jo Koy's questionable jokes.
One wisecrack that went down like a lead balloon was about the Barbie movie.
Taking a swing at the acting industry in general, Koy said: "The key moment in Barbie is when she goes from perfect beauty to bad breath, cellulite and flat feet...
"Or what casting directors call 'character actor'."

Several stars' reactions were spotted in the audience, with the likes of Gomez and Helen Mirren seen putting their head in their hands.
