Brian Austin Green reveals breaking point that triggered the end of his marriage to Megan Fox

Brian Austin Green revealed what life was truly like married to Megan Fox

I think Megan Fox was my first ever celebrity crush - that I can remember anyway, so I don't know how to feel after hearing how rough her marriage was with her ex-husband.

After 16 years together, Fox and Brian Austin Green called it quits on their relationship back in 2020 - filing for a divorce which took two years to finalize.

The pair met while shooting Hope & Faith back in 2004, when Fox was just 18 years old and fellow actor Green was 30, and following six years of dating they eventually tied the knot in Hawaii in 2010.

Two years into marriage they welcomed their first son together, Noah, now 12.

Two years later Fox gave birth to their second child Bodhi, now 10, followed by a third son named Journey, now aged 8.

So from the outside looking in, you could be excused to imagine the pair had the perfect life.

Well, the now 51-year-old Beverly Hills, 90210 star opened up about the marital issues the pair were going through at the time, while on his former co-star Tori Spelling's podcast misSpelling.

Speaking on the the show, that streamed on Spotify yesterday (October 29), Green revealed the breaking point that triggered the end of his marriage with his now 38-year-old ex-wife.

"She’d gotten to the point where things weren’t great, so I think everything was annoying her," he explained.

“You kind of get to the point where you’re like, ‘God, just the way you’re shuffling your feet right now. The way you’re putting that toast in the toaster’s just driving me crazy' - it’s all that stupid little stuff.

"That to me is when you either have to make the choice to say, ‘Okay, we’re going to go into therapy, and we’re gonna try to find our connection and figure out what’s going on now, or these things are going to sink us'.

"They’re going to be the death of us, because they just build up, and build up, and get worse, and worse.”

Spelling then recalled hearing about Fox hating hearing Green chew, while the pair were shooting the Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot back in 2019.

She recounted: “I remember thinking at the time, ‘How bad could it be? She loves him. That really bothers her?'”

Back in March, Fox opened up about their relationship on a different podcast Call Her Daddy explaining that she 'never had the full freedom to be single and experience that life'.

“I was young and really should not have been in a relationship of that level of commitment and that magnitude," she said.

At the time Green starting dating the Transformers star he had one child of his own, Kassius, whom he shared with actor Vanessa Marcil.

The pair have since moved on and continue to co-parent amicably, while Green has introduced his fifth child Zane into the world with fiancée and professional dancer Sharna Burgess.

Meanwhile, Fox has recently split off her engagement to rapper Machine Gun Kelly.
