Social media users have got themselves into a frenzy over the apparent resemblance between Meryl Streep and one particularly influential rapper.
From her heart-warming roles in Julie & Julia, Mamma Mia! and Florence Foster Jenkins to her iconic performances in Death Becomes Her and The Devil Wears Prada, Streep has a plethora of hit movies to her name, but is there one more role she's taken on and kept a secret? Well, some people on the internet certainly think so.
Not only are some people taking to social media convinced Streep is the spitting image of a rapper, but others are even suggesting the musician is actually Streep 'in disguise'. Ah the joys of the internet...

To give social media users their dues, Streep is a multi-award-winning actor, but even this role seems a big one for her to pull off. *Tries to imagine Streep rapping 'Young Metro'*
Fans of the actor and rapper in question have been flocking to sites such as X and Reddit to question 'why' pioneering American rap star and singer Future - full name Nayvadius DeMun Cash - 'lowkey [...] look[s] like Meryl Streep' and it's sent people spiralling.
After an X user took to the platform on May 26 to share not just one, but five pairs of images of the 74-year-old actor and 40-year-old musician side-by-side, it didn't take long for others to weigh in.

Another user said: "I see it."
Someone else added: "Has anyone ever seen these two in the same room??"
While a third commented: "Now I can't unsee this s**t."
"This thread goes hard like the comparisons are wild bro. I'm actually almost convinced they related or something," a fourth wrote.

And a Reddit user even took to thread r/askblackpeople last month to question: "What do y'all think ab the rumors that Future is actually Meryl Streep in disguise? I've seen quite a lot of evidence supporting this and I'm without words."
Another replied: "Lmaoooo I've never heard this before but I'm in full support of it."
"Sensational," one user responded.

However, not everyone agrees the pair even look that much alike.
An X user wrote: "How high must one be to even come up with this?"
"BREAKING: Two celebrities pose in a similar fashion," a second commented.
A third penned: "No, don't do this."

And a final simply resolved: "Stop it."
So, what do you think?
