Millie Bobby Brown has revealed she became a feminist after visiting a psychic.
The Stranger Things star recently sat down with Glamour and said that while she recently didn’t define herself as a feminist, she’s now converted.
In her interview, the actor said she now advocates for women’s rights after a trip to a psychic.

I mean look, whatever works.
It was her ‘feminist awakening’ she recalled.
The 19-year-old said the psychic told her she was, in fact, a feminist, prompting her to conduct her own Google search of what that means once she got home.

After reading articles and books, Brown said she ‘really grasped the idea of feminism and what it means to me’.
“Ultimately it’s about opportunity,” she told the outlet.
She added that through her company, PCMA Productions, which produced the actor’s movies Enola Holmes and Enola Holmes 2, she hopes to amplify women’s stories and push for more diversity.
The upcoming film Damsel stars Brown as Princess Elodie, a dragon-fighting warrior alongside Angela Bassett and Robin Wright.

Her production company also has other works in the pipeline, including The Girls I've Been and A Time Lost.
Elsewhere in the interview, the star she’s ready to finally say goodbye to Stranger Things and move on to other projects.
“When you’re ready, you’re like, ‘All right, let’s do this. Let’s tackle this last senior year. Let’s get out of here,’” she told the publication.

“Stranger Things takes up a lot of time to film and it’s preventing me from creating stories that I’m passionate about. So I’m ready to say, ‘Thank you, and goodbye.’”
Brown has been starring in the series since 2016 when it first propelled her into mega stardom.
While wrapping up the highly acclaimed Netflix series has been bittersweet, Brown acknowledges the show has given her ‘the tools and the resources to be a better actor’.
Her next film, The Electric State, is a post-apocalyptic adventure movie from the Russo Brothers, in which she stars opposite Chris Pratt.

“It’s a very exciting opportunity that I never thought I’d be able to have, to be able to be treated the same as him and to be looked at and respected the same as him on the set by the production, by the studio,” she continued.
The Electric State is slated for a 2024 release.
