Millie Bobbie Brown had agreed to marry one of her Stranger Things co-stars before she was swept off her feet by now-husband Jake Bongiovi.
Kind of.
The British actress, 20, burst onto our screens as Eleven in the Netflix hit eight years ago now.

Brown and the cast have likely forged friendships for life, having grown up together on the Duffer Brothers show.
The Enola Homles star has also been lucky in love, having tied the knot with Bongiovi, the son of music legend Jon Bon Jovi, back in May.
The pair were joined by family in the US for an intimate ceremony.
Brown, who's also fronted Netflix fantasy Damsel, first confirmed she was dating Bongiovi, 22, three years ago.

The pair had initially connected on Instagram before hanging out as friends.
A romance soon blossomed, and in November 2021 the couple went Instagram official when Brown posted a blurry photo of her kissing the actor and model while on the London Eye.
Engagement rumours soon swirled when, last year, Brown teased a photo of herself wearing a diamond ring while embracing Bongiovi.

She captioned the post with: "I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all," referencing lyrics from Taylor Swift's 'Lover.'
But the actress had already vowed to marry Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp - if they were both still single at 40.
In a 2022 interview, she and the Will Byers star told MTV news: "We said if we're not married by 40, we'll get married together because we'd be good roomies."
She swiftly added: "Completely platonically, we would still be really good roomies."

And Brown was quick to law down the law with a few ground rules for Schnapp.
She began: "No kids, though, because I could not deal with a child of yours...Yeah, no kids at all. Only dogs..."
The star continued: "And separate bedrooms, for sure - my God, you're so messy."
Schanpp is currently thought to be single - with his platonic future with Brown no longer on the cards.
That's not necessarily a bad thing though; now he's got bags of time to find someone who'd actually want to share a bed with him.

Besides, it sounds like he'll always have a friend is his Stranger Things co-star.
Brown previously said of Schnapp: "We have built such a friendship together, I feel like. And you're also one of the longest friends I've ever had, I don't know if you know that, but I didn't grow up in school so I didn't have any friends from my childhood, so you really are one of those people for me."
She added: "Something I do want to add is that, being a young girl in the industry, it's really hard when you are constantly surrounded by male energy.
"Something that Noah has always done so well is make me feel so comfortable, so empowered, and he is an amazing co-star to riff off of.
"He's always been my biggest supporter cheering me on and for that, especially in this day and age, I think it's really nice to have boys like that. Boys who support girls."
