Robert De Niro is a Hollywood legend and he doesn't appear to be showing his age just yet.
The actor and film producer celebrated his 81st birthday over the weekend, and made a literal splash in doing so.
Drena De Niro, the Hollywood director's daughter, posted a collage of pictures and videos of the celebrations to Instagram, with one particular video the big talking point.

"Happy 81st Bday to my Dad and #1 ride or die .. Love you with all my [heart]," she penned before adding a video of her father leaping a whopping 30 feet off a boat.
I mean, you'd probably expect this from someone a little younger, but someone in their 80s, that's seriously impressive.
It seems De Niro's nearest and dearest were left shocked with the stunt, with one family member dubbing it 'crazy'.

Meanwhile, another family member asked the filmmakers if he was alright, and De Niro immediately responded quashing those concerns.
Nonetheless, many De Niro fans have flocked to the comments section of the Instagram post to voice their concerns.
"That second slide gave me anxiety!" one person wrote.
While others wished De Niro a happy birthday: "A Happy Birthday to the best actor of all Time, for his 81st Birthday. And many more. From a very big fan," a second person wrote.

While a third remarked: "Happy Birthday To The Best Actor In The World."
Earlier this year, De Niro spoke about being 'great at 80'.
De Niro welcomed his seventh child, Gia Virginia, last year, while most people his age would be thinking about retirement.

Speaking in AARP The Magazine February/March edition, De Niro said: "Everything that I’m consumed with or worried about just goes away when I look at her. It’s wondrous.
"When she gets older — who knows? But that very sweet way she has of looking at you, taking you in, thinking and watching and observing," he added.
Having dealt with dirty diapers in nearly every decade of his life, the actor is taking a more relaxed approach to parenting nowadays.
“It doesn’t get easier,” he explained to the Guardian last October, when asked about becoming a dad once more.

"It is what it is. It’s OK. I mean, I don’t do the heavy lifting. I’m there, I support my girlfriend. But she does the work. And we have help, which is so important."
